Top 5 things all cyclers should know when cycling in Thailand?
-Because there is always room for motorcyles on the road, there is
always room for bicycles.
-The roads are brutal on bikes; dust, dirt, sand and rocks are
prevalant. Be prepared for the pounding.
-Pollution on the roads is much worse than in the US.
-Have your own bike/gear with you can be very cumbersome.
-Riding early morning and just before sunset are good ways to beat the tropical heat.

-Pump, tubes, repair kits.
-Some knowledge of the terrain and potential dangers.
-Ideally, a cell phone.
-Sunglasses
-Probably some sort of anti-pollution mask.
-$5 worth of local currency.
-Water
-If you have room, your regular shoes.
-Sunblock
What is the best way to pack a bicyle on a plane?
a) Until airlines accept your bike fully built up, be prepared to take off wheels, axles, seats and pedals and to loosen handlebars and the back derailleur.
