Where did you go? How many days? What was the number of people?
11 days rafting in the Urals for $300, and a bargain at twice the price. About fifteen of us had an awesome trip. I was the only American, and a geezer to boot, but did fine paddling during the day, climbing (non-technical mostly, but with ropes for some descents), great evenings, and an overall good pace. Special activities as the moment permitted: we went caving at one point, one evening was the Russian banya. We stopped at a couple of tiny isolated villages along the way. We augmented our rations with some fish we caught. Singing most every night.
Recommend this company?
Why or why not?
Good vibe within the group. Smarts among club members (raft experts, climbers, etc.) meant there was no shortage of expertise. I never had any question but that all safety concerns were always addressed thoroughly. Good food!
What’s one piece of advice for going on an adventure?
Take your time, and let the river set the pace.
What was your guide like? What was his name?
Amir Khanov led the trip. A sharp guy with the right attitude for keeping things moving–or not.
What was your opinion of the tour comany?
A good quality company
