How-to Title: How to Cliff Jump
Explanation: The most important thing is to scout the river or lake before you jump. I know this sounds difficult, but you don’t want to become paralyzed if you hit something that breaks your fall. Look for logs, rocks, and make sure it’s plenty deep. You use a snorkel or swim in the area where you will land and drop under the water.
After you jump, you should not keep your legs straight, but bend your legs slightly to absorb the impact of the water. Use your arms to keep your balance while in the air.
Common mistakes and accidents are people slipping before the jump, hitting something in the water, or doing a belly flop because they went too far forward.
