Middle East Adventure Trips
The Middle East has one foot in the ancient past and another foot struggling to find its identity in the modern world. Modern cities, with companies like Starbucks and Kentucky Fried Chicken, are surrounded by the classic Middle East images - minarets, bazaars, and teahouse. Sure there are troubled spots, but a huge majority of the Middle East is safe and is looking to show the intrepid travelers its treasures. Mainstream destinations - Jordan, Egypt and Turkey - receive the bulk of the tourists, but even Iran and parts of Syria are on the up-and-coming list. Don.t forget that the Middle East has parts of the Silk Road, with legendary explorers Marco Polo and Alexander the Great have all left their footprints here.
