Itinerary
Days 1 Beirut
Arrive in Beirut and be impressed by the wealth of stylish art galleries, bars, cafes, restaurants and museums. Spend time enjoying the new and old gems of this cosmopolitan city - and be sure to stop and feast on Lebanese delicacies along the way. This city is full of traditional epicurean delights, with mezze and sweet pastries being the standouts to savour.
Day 2 Zahle
Breathe in the fresh Mediteranean air and soak up the sunshine at the port of Sidon before stopping at Beiteddine, home to an impressive Ottoman Palace. Spend the night relaxing in the town of Zahle and choose to dine in one of the many atmospheric open-air restaurants dotted along the river.
Day 3 Baalbek
Explore stunning ancient Roman ruins set against a beautiful backdrop of imposing mountains. Fallen marble columns and temples dedicated to Bacchus, Venus and Jupiter make this a significant archeological site and a fascinating place to visit.
Days 4-5 Bcharre
Wander through a pristine nature reserve filled with flora and fauna, including forests of cedar trees - some of which have stood for more than a thousand years. Then, for a dose of history, explore the churches and monasteries of the beautiful Qadisha Valley.
Day 6 Byblos
Visit ancient ruins, shop in the souqs or watch fishing boats bob in the harbour of Byblos. With sandy beaches, outdoor cafes, open-air bars and an ancient port, this city is rich in history and it's temperate climate makes it a top spot to relax in.
Days 7-8 Beirut
Return to the lively streets of Beirut where this memorable journey through Lebanon ends.
