Everest View & Lukla Trek

Trek through the incredible Nepal countryside and relax in unique local lodges along your journey. Hotel Everest View (HEV) situated at 3,880m. height in the Sagarmatha National Park is the highest located hotel in the world and commands a spectacular view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m.). Each room in HEV affords a panoramic view of Everest and many other high and awe-inspiring peaks including Amadablam (6,856 m.), described by many as the most beautiful peak they have ever seen.





Detailed Itinerary



Day 1 - Kathmandu - Shyangboche


This morning you will be met at your hotel in Kathmandu and transferred to the airport for your flight to Shyangboche. Flight form Kathmandu to the hotel's airstrip at Shyangboche 3810m takes 50 minutes, and goes via Lukla requiring a charter flight from Lukla to Shyangboche. During this early morning flight the entire panorama of the great snow-clad Himalaya unfolds as the flight climbs out of Kathmandu valley and flies above endless hills blanketed with terraces and small village.

The walk form the airstrip to the hotel takes about 45 minutes on a trail that is well maintained, although rocky and steep for the first few hundred feet. It is about 1-mile walk and a gain of 300 feet elevation.

Day 2 - Shyangboche


Enjoy these days at your leisure. Explore the area by going on day treks or sightseeing trips can be made to the Sherpa Villages of Namche Bazaar, Khumjunj and Khunde.

Day 3 - Shyangboche - Monjo


This morning depart the Hotel Everest View and begin your 6 hour trek to Monjo. Pass many beautiful vistas and Sherpa settlements as you steadily make you way down to Monjo. Monjo is made up of a handful of lodges alongside the path a few minutes walk from the entrance to the Sagarmartha National Park.

Day 4 - Monjo - Lukla


Continue your descent to Lukla (approximately 3 hours). Once a tiny farming community, Lukla is now a large trekkers town, with numerous accommodation options (most fairly simple), many shops; selling everything from batteries and soap to yak hair gloves and knock-off North Face jackets, and even a couple of internet cafes.

Day 5 - Lukla - Kathmandu


This morning catch your scheduled flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel.
