Itinerary
Day 1 - Moshi
We will pick you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and take you to Moshi, a town at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Here you will make final preparations for your guided african safari. Overnight in hotel up in the Kilimanjaro forest.
Day 2 - Lake Manyara
Today you officially begin your lodge safari and travel to Lake Manyara National Park, home to climbing tree lions, flamingos, giraffes, and a host of other exotic animals You will have most of the day to explore the park. Lake Manyara {ark is a study in contrasts; with a dry, dusty brown heat haze filling the air, a vivid, green vegetation fringe surrounding the lake, and the shimmering blue water of the lake itself spreading out to the horizon There is population of elephant, giraffe, pelicans, storks, baboons, bushbuck, civet, leopard, cormorants, geese, ducks and flamingoes. Tonight you will stay at Lake Manyara lodge.
Day 3 - Lake Manyara to Serengeti
Leaving Lake Manyara in the morning, you will head to Serengeti, passing the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. In the Serengeti, you will be surrounded by the largest concentration of animals anywhere in the world. Stay at one of the Serengeti lodges.
Day 4 - Serengeti
Today is a full day safari, from sunrise to sunset, looking for lion, leopards, elephant, rhino and getting lost in the Serengeti. Another night in one of the Serengeti lodges.
Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater
At sunrise, we continue our safari and begin to head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, stopping at a Masai village for lunch. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which lies between the Serengeti and the Lake Manyara National Parks boasts the largest unbroken, inactive, and unflooded caldera in the world. It has some of the largest concentrations of animals anywhere in the world. Tonight you stay at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge on the rim of the crater.
Day 6 - Return Moshi
Before sunrise, we head down into the Ngorongoro Crater to watch the animals feed. We will spend around six hours having a picnic lunch at the bottom. We then begin our journey back to back to Moshi, the airport, or to Tarangire National Park. The choice is yours!
