Itinerary

Day 1 Johannesburg

Discover the heart of South Africa and perhaps stop by Mary Fitzgerald Square to soak up the Newtown vibe. Alternatively arrive early to visit nearby Soweto and learn about South Africa's recent history.

Days 2-3 Kruger National Park

Continue on to the massive Kruger National Park. Try to spot the Big Five - lions, elephants, Cape buffaloes, leopards and black rhinos - plus other iconic African animals. There's also a chance to take a safari after dark to try and catch sight of nocturnal predators.

Day 4 Polokwane Game Reserve

Head straight from one wildlife haven into another, travelling to the Polokwane in time for a dusk safari. Look out for the rare white rhino and exotic antelope species including the sable and eland.

Day 6 Chobe National Park

The lush plains and forests of this game reserve are home to an estimated 120,000 elephants. Hippos and crocodiles keep cool in muddy swamps, and a leisurely cruise along the river is a good way to try and spot them. Look out for powerful fish eagles, the vibrant plumage of kingfishers as well as baby elephants having a bath.

Day 7 Victoria Falls/Livingstone

Go wild in Livingstone, Zambia's adventure sports capital and the gateway to the raging waters of Victoria Falls. Meaning 'the smoke that thunders', its incredible spray is a must-see. For extra exhilaration, take an optional flight over the falls in a helicopter, charter plane or micro-light.
