Itinerary

Day 1 Havana

Stroll sweeping boulevards and elegant plazas, meet friendly locals and experience the energetic nightlife. Be sure to embrace Cuban cuisine and try some comida criolla.

Days 2-4 Baracoa

Set on a bay against a backdrop of mountains, this town conceals tales of a tumultuous past. Soak up the history on a beautiful black sand beach.

Days 5-6 Santiago de Cuba

Flaunt salsa moves in the city that invented the dance, then perhaps visit the dynamic museums and colonial churches.

Day 7-8 Camaguey

Stop by the island's third largest city, a university town steeped in tradition. Keep an eye out for tinajones, large clay pots traditionally used for collecting water.

Days 9-12 Trinidad

This colourful colonial city is the gateway to the long, picture-perfect beaches of Playa Ancon.

Days 13-15 Havana

Meander along the seaside walkway where old automobiles loll beside crumbling colonial buildings. A lively nightlife affords plenty of opportuntities to try Cuban rum: minty mojitos, daiquiris, Cuba libres or straight-up on ice.

Days 16-18 Vinales

Explore caves or hike through the limestone hills of Vinales. After all the fresh air, sit back and enjoy the views of the sprawling tobacco fields in the valleys below.

Days 19-20 Maria La Gorda

This town is home to pirate tales, old cannons and legendary buried treasure. Nearby, the calm, clear waters of the Caribbean beckon. Dive in and discover a world of black coral, colourful fish and exotic underwater creatures.

Days 21-22 Havana

A spectacular drive past blue Atlantic waters and rocky mountain slopes marks a final return to Havana.
