Day 1 Amman

Arrive early to see the many sights, including the Roman ruins of Jerash.

Days 2-3 Petra

Explore the ancient stone city of Petra, carved from rose-coloured cliff faces.

Day 4 Wadi Rum

Discover this dazzling desert landscapes and camp with local Bedouin at a traditional desert camp.

Days 5-6 Red Sea Beach Camp

Snorkel or scuba-dive through spectacular underwater scenery and feast on fresh seafood.

Day 7 Mt Sinai

Ride a camel or climb the 3,750 steps to the summit of Mt Sinai.

Days 8-9 Cairo

Lose yourself among the market stalls of the lively Khan al-Khalili bazaar or head to Giza to visit the legendary Sphinx and Pyramids.

Days 10-11 Aswan

Try delicious Nubian food in laid-back Aswan, Egypt's gateway to Africa. It's also possible to visit the temples of Abu Simbel.

Day 12 Felucca

Relax and enjoy the views on a relaxing felucca ride down the Nile.

Days 13-14 Luxor

Ride a donkey to see pharaohs' tombs in the Valley of the Kings or wander the ancient capital of Thebes.

Day 15 Dahkla Oasis

Savour sun-drenched stone fruits in one of the Nile Valley's earliest settlements.

Day 16 Western Desert

Enjoy a sense of adventure among windswept dunes, surreal rock formations and picturesque villages.

Day 17 Bawiti

Discover the ancient Roman ruins at the Bahariyya Oasis. Take a relaxing soak under the shade of a date palm.

Days 18-19 Siwa

Take a dip in Cleopatra's bath or ride a bicycle to the Mountain of the Dead.

Days 20-21 Alexandria

Delve into the mind-boggling catacombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa, or stroll to Fort Qaitbey, where the wondrous Pharos lighthouse stood in antiquity.

Day 22 Cairo

Head back to the souqs to grab a last-minute bargain or get a final history fix at the Egyptian Museum.
