Itinerary

Days 17-18 Marrakech

Return to Marrakech and choose to indulge in a final feast with friends.

Day 1 Casablanca

Get acquainted with the distinct architecture and European flavour of this famed city. For those who arrive early, be sure to discover one of the world’s largest mosques with the world’s tallest minaret, or take it easy like the locals do, with a glass of sweet mint tea in one of the many cafes.

Day 2 Rabat/Moulay Idriss

See monuments spanning the history of Morocco, including the delightful Kasbah des Oudaias, on a walk through Rabat’s old quarter. Spend the night in the sacred hilltop town of Moulay Idriss. Once forbidden to non-Muslims, the picturesque medina offers an excellent insight into traditional Moroccan life.

Days 3-4 Volubilis/Fes

Discover the Roman ruins of Volubilis before lunching in Meknes. In historic Fes, explore winding alleyways, see the local tanneries and enjoy a sunset over the bustling medina.

Days 5-7 Chefchaouen/Tangier

Explore the medina or hike above the town for amazing views. Grab a dinner of fresh bread and fish in seaside Tangier.

Days 8-9 Marrakech

Discover spectacular Moorish architecture and tropical gardens. Leave time to soak up the sights, sounds and smells of the colourful souqs.

Day 10 Aroumd

Enjoy hikes and get acquainted with local customs in the stunning surroundings of the High Atlas Mountains.

Day 11 Ait Benhaddou

Watch a golden sunset paint the graceful Ait Benhaddou kasbah in red hues.

Day 12 Zagora

Pay a visit to Project Horizon, an Intrepid-supported initiative supporting locals with disabilities, then journey to Zagora - a small oasis town which is home to pottery workshops.

Day 13 Sahara Camp

Travel along rugged and desolate mountain ranges to the town of Tamegroute. Walk the kasbah to admire colourful ceramics and perhaps pick up a souvenir, then embark on a camel ride across the sand at dusk and spend a magical night sleeping under the stars.

Day 14 Taroudannt

Journey through the desert to the red-walled town of Taroudannt. Browse the souq overflowing with Berber wares.

Days 15-16 Essaouira

Make the most of the coastal beauty and mellow vibe of Essaouria. Wander the narrow streets to explore markets and shop for trinkets or relax by the beach.
