Our base is a former 16th century monastery surrounded by gardens, terraces, lemon groves and grape vines, where meals are served overlooking the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Furore (D)
For the duration of our trip we stay at the Agritururismo Saint Alfonso, formerly a 16th century monastery, where the friendly and hospitable staff is unsurpassed. The monastery is surrounded by colourful gardens, open terraces and endless staircases leading out to lemon groves and grape vines. Enjoy your meals in an open-air dining area (weather-permitting) that overlooks the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea.The views from the open-air dining area down to the blue waters of the Gulf of Salerno below will make sure you have a great start to every day of your tour. Off to one side of the garden is a charming little chapel where many locals come to get married during the summer. However, the Sant Alfonso is far enough away from the towns of the bustling Amalfi Coast to give you a sense of absolute tranquility and harmony. In the attractive local villages, buildings are surrounded by gardens and terraces, narrow pebbled streets and endless steps, lemon groves, grape and olive vines and the perfumes of nature. The terrace overlooks the intensely blue sea in a view that is breathtaking, where you can enjoy a glass of wine after a long day’s hike.Day 2 Ravello (B,D)
