Take a day trip through the Vacluse countryside to Orange and explore ruins from the region's illustrious Roman past.Day 3 Pont du Gard
This well-preserved three-tiered aqueduct was once part of a system of canals that spanned 50 km. See the technical artistry of the World Heritage-listed Pont du Gard up close with a stroll beside the lowest tier.Day 4 St Remy/Arles
Journey south past the dramatic limestone cliffs and olive oil mills of the Chaine des Alpilles region. Stroll the winding St Remy streets that inspired some of Vincent van Gogh's best-known works.Days 5-6 Arles
Unearth the mysteries of the Roman Empire with a visit to Arles' amphitheatre. In 1651, the Venus of Arles was unearthed here before later being permanently moved to the Louvre.
