Itinerary

Days 1-2 Cairo

Enjoy a Sufi dance performance, view priceless treasures at the Egyptian Museum, and visit the impressive Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza.

Days 3-5 Aswan/Nile Felucca

After a Nubian village lunch, ride a camel across dramatic dunes to the abandoned Monastery of St Simeon. Tonight, sleep aboard a felucca on the lapping waters of the Nile.

Days 6-7 Luxor

Wander the monumental Temples of Karnak and ride a donkey to the pharaohs' tombs in the eerie Valley of the Kings. Enjoy a dramatic Nile sunset with a cocktail in hand.

Day 8 Cairo

There's time to explor Cairo's walled citadel or haggle for treasures at one of the many souqs.

Day 9 Mt Sinai

Follow in the footsteps of Moses and climb Mt Sinai for the breathtaking panoramic desert views.

Day 10 Red Sea Beach Camp

Snorkel in the spectacular Red Sea, then feast with new Bedouin friends.

Day 11 Aqaba

Cross into Jordan and relax in Aqaba, a former trading hub now known for its unspoilt coral reefs.

Day 12 Wadi Rum

Spend a night in a desert camp, waking amid soaring sandstone cliffs.

Days 13-14 Petra

Days 15-16 Madaba

Days 21-22 Aleppo

Enjoy a rejuvenating scrub in one of Syria's finest bathhouses.

Day 23 Antakya

See exquisite Roman mosaics in biblical Antioch, where the apostles first preached.

Day 24 Ihlara Valley

Meet rural Turks and try fresh river trout.

Days 25-27 Cappadocia

Explore delightful underground cities and whimsical fairy chimneys around Goreme.

Day 28 Istanbul
