Day 1 Kathmandu
An eclectic heritage is evident in Kathmandu's traditional architecture and bustling squares. Dive in and explore.Day 2 Bandipur
Perched high on a ridge, the trading village of Bandipur offers a first glimpse of the Annapurnas. Explore the surrounding countryside to admire the stunning views and maybe call in to the ornately carved Bindebasini Mandir.Days 3-25 Annapurna Sanctuary/Base Camps
Set amid spectacular scenery, the Annapurna Sanctuary is a challenging but incredibly rewarding trek. Journey through lush pastures and meet herdsmen. Experience the ancestral traditions of mountain communities and call in at remote hilltop monasteries. Navigate icy rivers, traverse broad plains and cross high mountain passes. Retire to teahouse lodges and feast on simple, satisfying Nepali fare. Trekking is tough at times but the inspiring views, cultural immersion and sense of achievement make it worthwhile.Day 26 Pokhara
Come back down to earth, taking a steep descent off the mountains until the trail finally flattens out. Heading past Birethanti, jump into a van and drive to Pokhara.Days 27-28 Kathmandu
Pick up a bargain in the street markets or just sit and relax in Durbar Square. Seek out a restaurant for a Tibetan momo feast and maybe knock back a celebratory beer.
