Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu

A vibrant travellers' centre for many years, Kathmandu offers a compelling blend of religious sites and daily life, with a rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Day 2 Nuwakot

Visit a historic village and stay on an organic farm. From the idyllic Newar-style accommodation, take an excursion to a 16th-century fort and a palace.

Day 3 Syabrubesi

Travel on rugged roads above the Trisuli River to the trailhead for treks into the Langtang Valley.

Days 4-14 Langtang Trek

Rich in flora and home to the elusive red panda, the Langtang region is a stunning area to explore. To begin, the trek covers a steep trail that becomes a more gradual incline. Trail jungle and river valleys, glacial scenery and rhododendron forests. Discover ancient spiritual sites like the Gosainkunda Lake and a sacred spot where Lord Shiva is believed to be reposing. Opt to hike the Langtang Glacier - or visit the famous cheese factory. Spend time in villages, meet friendly locals and learn about their culture. The trekking can be arduous but it's always rewarding, with breathtaking sights at almost every turn.

Days 15-16 Kathmandu

Walk back to the road head at Sundarijal for a transfer back to Kathmandu, where there is time for a final feast to celebrate the adventure.
