Itinerary

Days 1-2 Kathmandu

Explore traditional Kathmandu in the streets of the Old City or get a taste of its modern side amid the bright lights of Thamel.

Day 3 Pokhara

Take in Pokhara's mountain vistas and make final preparations for the trek.

Day 4 Kagbeni

After a short but spectacular flight to Jomsom, hike along the Kali Gandaki, a raging river originating from the holy Himalaya.

Days 5-16 Lo Manthang Mustang Trek

Witness the cultural and religious transformations in Mustang, or the Kingdom of Lo, from Manangi to Tibetan. Cross rivers and ascend ridges, see fields of buckwheat and barley and discover new vistas each day, heading deeper into the mountains. Climb pebble tracks, visit quaint traditional villages and encounter local farmers. Meet residents of the walled capital, Lo Manthang and visit Nepal's longest prayer wall. Retire to teahouses each night and spend one evening surrounded by red cliffs. This area is picturesque, sparsely populated and must be seen to be believed.

Day 17 Pokhara

Sit by Phewa Lake, admire the magnificent backdrop of the Annapurnas and reflect on trekking achievements so far. Celebrate with a chai, a cold beer or a meal at a cosmopolitan cafe.

Days 18-19 Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu in time for some further exploration. Purchase a final momento, tuck into a final bowl of dhal or just relax and watch the colourful passing parade.
