All the while, stay in safari lodges where you can relive each day's events in comfort and style.
Itinerary
Day 1 Victoria Falls/Livingstone
Marvel at the thunderous roar of 550,000 cubic metres of water plunging into the Zambezi Gorge every minute, and behold the columns of spray that rise from this spectacular natural wonder. Traditionally known as Mosi-oa-Tunya - The Smoke that Thunders - this breathtaking sight is sure to astonish. Although not the world's highest, Victoria Falls is an enormous 1,708 m wide, making it the largest curtain of water on the planet. Knife Edge Bridge and the forests immediately opposite the falls on the Zambian side offer unparalleled views.Days 2-3 Chobe National Park
Home to Botswana's most varied wildlife, this stunning park offers superb opportunities for spotting some of Africa's iconic animals. An estimated 120,000 elephants call this park home, so there's an excellent chance of seeing a herd or two. The reserve is also home to an astonishing array of birdlife, and colourful species can often be glimpsed darting across the skies. Cruise the Chobe River in the late afternoon to try and spy hippos ambling along the banks. Go on game drives and guided walks and perhaps spot a rare puku antelope leaping among the park's foliage.Day 4 Victoria Falls/Livingstone
Transfer to Livingstone, named after the famous explorer and the first Westerner to see the awe-inspiring nearby falls. Head to the Livingstone Museum to learn more about this dauntless Scottish explorer - who was lost for six years before searchers finally greeted him, 'Dr Livingstone, I presume?'. This lively town also boasts a range of adventure activities, so why not stay a little longer.
