Itinerary

Day 1 Darwin

A colourful blend of frontier charm and modern cosmopolitan attitude, Darwin is an exciting launch pad into the Never Never. Watch the sun set over Fannie Bay and blast your tastebuds with some top-notch tucker down at the harbour.

Days 2-3 Kakadu National Park

Venture deep into the Kakadu wilderness to learn how this landscape helps maintain Indigenous tradition and culture. Kakadu is steeped in Dreamtime history and current significance, from the artwork it contains to the wildlife it nurtures. Accompanied by a local guide, be captivated by the park's ever-changing terrain and untamed beauty. Camp under the starry Kakadu sky. Reach Twin Falls by 4WD through some of the Top End's most remote terrain. Sail through a spectacular gorge, stopping to picnic on a secluded stretch of beach. Then hike through steamy rainforest to Jim Jim Falls, the park's most iconic sight and a popular swimming hole. Spend the night at Murdudjuri Camp.

Day 4 Darwin

Cruise the Yellow Water billabong, looking out for the big saltwater crocodiles that patrol the area. Also keep your eyes peeled for exotic birds and the fabled bunyip, rumoured to lurk in Top End billabongs! Cool off in a true blue outback swimming hole at Barramundi Gorge. Soak up the scenic beauty of the Ubirr Rock escarpments and panoramic views over Kakadu before hitting the Arnhem Highway back to Darwin.
