Itinerary
Days 1-2 Venice
It' said this is the best city in which to get lost, so take to the streets, through winding alleyways, over bridges and along canals, and soak up the romance of Venice. Sip coffee in a Piazza San Marco cafe or visit glass workshops. Indulge in local delicacies such as tiramisu and prosecco, then take to the water on a vaporetto.
Days 3-4 Cinque Terre
Inhale sea air and take in glorious vistas while walking the coastal path that links the five pastel-hued towns. Wander past olive groves and citrus orchards scattered on the steep hillside that plunges straight down into the sea. Explore quaint villages and cool off with a dip in the Mediterranean. Be sure to make the most of local produce and feast on Ligurian seafood as the sun sets over the dramatic landscape. Retire to the fishing village of Monterosso and enjoy the relaxed Cinque Terre atmosphere.
Days 5-6 Florence
Enjoy free time in a city rich with culture, art and history. From the vineyards on the outskirts of the city to the magnificent marble facade of the Duomo, Florence is captivating. View art treasures in the Medici Chapels and the Uffizi Gallery, see Michelangelo's captivating David and climb uphill to Piazzale Michelangelo to enjoy a golden sunset across the city's rooftops. With Pisa, Lucca and Siena just a short distance away, day trip options are endless.
Days 7-8 Rome
Grab a gelato and take to the streets to explore Italy's mesmerising capital. Recharge with a slice of pizza and a strong espresso at the Piazza Navona, then be sure to throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain and make a wish to return to the 'Eternal City'.
