Itinerary
Days 1-2 Cairo
Early evening your guide will meet you at the hotel and will escort you into the backstreets to a real hidden gem - a local cafe for a fresh mango juice. A short stop follows to buy some fresh fruit for snacking and then it's onto a felucca for a one-hour sail around the centre of Cairo. A felucca ride offers stunning views and is a great way to gain a more peaceful perspective of this vibrant city. This form of transport has been a ubiquitous sight on the Nile for centuries; the white sails and tall masts of these sailboats are one of the iconic images of Egypt. Afterwards transfer to the Nile maxim cruise boat for an entertaining evening on the water. Enjoy a buffet dinner of local and international foods, watch a mesmerising Sufi dancer and shake your hips to the hypnotic rhythms of a first-class belly dancer. A short transfer through the Cairo traffic sees you back at your hotel for your overnight stay.
