Itinerary

Days 1-2 Barcelona

Wander through the rambling Gothic Quarter or explore the picturesque Rambla, a tree-lined boulevard for pedestrians only. At sunset, enjoy spectacular red-hued views over Barcelona.

Days 3-4 Madrid/Toledo

Reflect on modern Spain in the city's many museums then head to Toledo, a city soaked in rich culture and history. Discover it all on a walk through the Old Town and explore twisting lanes and intricately decorated patios.

Days 5-6 Granada

Discover slices of Islamic architecture around every corner in one of Spain's most beautiful Moorish cities. Be sure to visit the Alhambra - an ancient palace and fortress from the days of Muslim rule in Spain.

Days 7-8 Seville

Known for its fiestas, tapas and enormous Gothic cathedral, this city is scattered with remnants of the past. Maybe take the steps to the top of the cathedral's Moorish tower before an evening performance of impassioned flamenco.

Day 9 Tangier

Jump aboard a ferry in Algeciras and be transported to a whole new continent, Africa. Experience old-world sights and sounds at the kasbah and medina then rub shoulders with cosmopolitan locals on the seaside promenade.

Day 10 Moulay Idriss

Get an insight into Islamic pilgrimage while staying in one of Morocco's holiest towns. Explore the ancient Roman city of Volubilis.

Days 11-12 Fes

Discover some truly astounding sites in Meknes then step back in time to the medieval streets of the Fes medina. Search out some Moroccan snacks and discover the pungent scents of the tanneries.

Days 13-15 Marrakech

Jump into the colour and chaos of the souqs, see the Koutoubia Mosque or just kick back at the Djemma el-Fna and watch the jugglers, palm readers and orange juice squeezers vie for attention.
