Days 3-4 Amazon Jungle

Days 5-7 Banos

Try mountain biking, rafting or soak in the thermal springs.

Days 8-9 Cuenca

Admire the colonial architecture and colourful flower markets in Cuenca.

Days 14-15 Lima

Try out the nightlife in the neighbourhood of Barranco or head to the coast for a seafood meal.

Day 16 Pisco

Relax in the central plaza or take an optional trip to the Ballestas Islands to admire the wealth of wildlife.

Days 17-18 Nazca

Perhaps take to the skies on a scenic flight to admire the Nazca Lines.

Day 33 Copacabana

Feast on fresh trout at one of the town's atmospheric restaurants.

Days 34-37 La Paz

Wander through the Witches' Market, admiring piles of herbs and bottles of potions.

Days 38-39 Sucre

Admire the whitewashed architecture in this scenic capital.

Days 40-41 Potosi

Visit a working mine and perhaps take a tour deep underground.

Chill-out on some of Peru's best beaches.

Days 12-13 Huanchaco

Travel through the Sechura Desert, see the surfing fishermen of Huanchaco and explore the historical city of Trujillo.

Days 19-22 Arequipa/Chivay/Colca Canyon

From colonial Arequipa, head out to the impressive Colca Canyon.

Days 23-24 Cuzco/Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo

Enjoy a wander through Cuzco's bustling San Pedro market before exploring the ruins scattered throughout the Sacred Valley.

Days 25-28 Inca Trail/Machu Picchu/Cuzco

Camp out on this challenging hike to Machu Picchu.

Day 29 Cuzco

Relax in a cafe or hit the mountain tracks on a daring bike ride.

Days 30-32 Lake Titicaca/Puno
