Itinerary

Day 1 Havana

Discover the Old City's colonial streetscapes lined with 16th century fortresses and countless churches. Visit La Catedral San Cristobal de la Habana, described by the novelist Alejo Carpentier as 'music set in stone'. Otherwise, just watch the world go by from a park bench in Plaza de Armas.

Days 2-3 Trinidad

Visit the Che Guevara Monument in historic Santa Clara. Wander cobblestone streets past colourful buildings and tiled courtyards before learning some salsa moves. Hit the streets to discover the city's famous nightlife and try out some new dance steps.

Days 4-5 Codina/Guanayara National Parks

Trek through Cuba's great outdoors, discovering historic and cultural attractions and beautiful natural scenery and staying in a traditional hacienda. Discover the Codina National Park, famous for its orchards and caves, and trek through Guanayara's rich natural environment. A final hike along the Melodioso River leads to the Rocio Waterfall - nothing beats a cooling dip at the end of the trek.

Day 6 Trinidad

Take an old Russian truck back to Trinidad. Relax in the city's peaceful Plaza Mayor or scramble up the hill to the Ermita de Nuestra Senora to catch the sunset.

Day 7 Villa Guajimico

Opt to scuba dive, kayak or head out on a catamaran.

Days 8-9 Bay of Pigs/Havana

Land at a revolution hot-spot and learn about the successful defence against the US-backed invasion masterminded by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara in 1961. Salsa one last time in Havana.

Day 10 Havana

Enjoy a final stroll along the Malecon or stop by the Revolution Museum before bidding farewell to Cuba.
