Itinerary
Days 1-3 Korcula/Mljet
Lush forest to one side, glistening blue waters to the other - what better way to experience the splendour of Korcula than by walking along its spectacular coast? Traverse well-formed paths through ancient olive groves, towering forests of cypress, tiny fishing villages and picturesque coves. Stop by vineyards along the way to make the most of the region's excellent wine. Take a ferry across to Mljet, renowned for its untamed beauty and also known the 'honey island'. Hike the perfumed, pine-covered hills to experience the magnificent countryside that some say inspired Homer while writing his Odyssey.Days 4-5 Hvar
Walk trails aromatic with the sweet scents of lavender and rosemary, past dramatic limestone cliffs and through towns featuring wonderfully preserved Renaissance architecture and vibrant promenades. Wind down on the beautiful beaches, dine out at seaside restaurants and toast the adventure with a glass of red - locally produced of course.
