Camino de Santiago

Covering a small but beautiful part of the historic Camino trail, discover ancient churches, pastoral panoramas, and quaint mountain villages. Take time to reflect on one of the Christian world's most legendary pilgrimage journeys, estimated to have existed for 1,000 years, and meet fellow pilgrims and friendly local walkers along the way.
Itinerary
Day 1 Villafranca del Bierzo
Enjoy this lovely town, complete with its own Roman temple and the magnificent Santiago Cathedral.Day 2 O Cebreiro
Conquer upland tracks and high trails and be rewarded with incredible views. The route ascends into the mountains and the scenery grows ever more impressive near the overnight stop of O Cebreiro. Stop in at the pre-Roman temple of Santa Maria la Real en route to discover its beautiful Byzantine image of the region's patron saint.Day 3 Triacastela
Another challenging day, with a trek along mountain trails between 800 and 1300 m high. Enjoy the amazing panoramas and stop in small villages to take a breather and replenish supplies before returning to the rolling green hills. The final stop today will be the tiny medieval town of Triacastela.Days 4-5 Sarria
Legs may be starting to feel a litle weary now, but the walk to the town of Sarria makes it all worthwhile. Explore the charming 14th century castle in the Old Quarter of Sarria and soak up the wonderful historic atmosphere. Perhaps end the adventure chatting with fellow pilgrims over a local lager.
