Nepal Teaching & Building - 14 days

Join a group of like-minded volunteers to experience and contribute to daily life in a rural village. Split your time between a building project and teaching at a local school. Working alongside local builders, staying in the community and spending time with the kids, you'll become an essential part of the community. This 14 day project will tackle needs that have been identified by your host community to ensure that your financial and physical investment is sustainable long into the future. Take part in a unique experience where you can really make a difference to a developing Nepalese community.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu/Rural Project

Start your project among the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. Meet your group then head off on local-style transport to the rural village you'll call home for the next 2 weeks.

Day 2 Village

Spend the day exploring the village, visiting the building site and seeing the school where you will be teaching. You'll be staying with a host family so spend some time getting to know them.

Days 3-13 Teaching and Building

Get stuck in to a schedule of building and teaching, rotating between the two throughout the day. You'll also have free time to learn the local dialect, play football with the kids and get to know the adults. Take the opportunity to explore the region and discover temples, neighbouring villages and amazing views.
