Itinerary
Day 1, New York Area & Buffalo
Famous for getting LOTS of snow and as the birthplace of spicy-hot chicken wings, Buffalo is a waterfront city situated on the eastern shores of Lake Erie. As the second largest city in New York State, there is a thriving music scene, culinary culture and late night clubbing on West Chippewa Street. Accommodation: Budget Lodging included
Day 2, Toronto
Glimpse the crashing Niagara Falls and make the last few paces into Canada across nearby Rainbow Bridge. No freestanding structure on earth stands taller than the CN Tower, so get up and gawp down over this pretty city by Lake Ontario. Browse trendy stores and cosy cafes on College and Queens Street, and don't be too surprised to see an A-lister: TO (that's Toronto, Ontario) is Canada's answer to Hollywood. Accommodation: Budget Lodging included
Day 3-4, Montreal
With more French speakers than anywhere outside of Paris, expect a little European flair. Museums, galleries, eateries and clubs mix a cocktail of the best bits from both continents. Don't miss out on the "Underground City" including 30km devoted to all things retail, or adventurous jet-boating! Accommodation: Budget Lodging included
Day 5-6, Stowe
During the winter, this 'Ski Capital of the East' puts on an incredible winter spread, but remains a highlight with hiking, biking and swimming during summer months within the same mountain range. Stowe isn't complete without a stop by the Ben and Jerrry's ice cream factory! You Chunky Monkey! Accommodation: Budget Lodging included
Day 7-8, Boston
Here in 'Beantown' relive the revolution along the Freedom Trail and explore Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. Later perhaps a bite to eat in an Italian North End trattoria, a seasonal brew in an authentic Irish pub and your best dance moves in a lively, late-night hangout. Accommodation: Budget Lodging included
Day 9, New York Area
We head back towards the 'City that never sleeps'. This tour is not scheduled to spend any time in New York City so make sure you book extra hotel nights and explore the sights and sounds of the Big Apple on your own. Splurge along Fifth Ave, hit the top of the Empire State Building, or soak up the trendy, laidback vibe of Greenwich Village before heading home. Now, that's what you call a storybook ending. Tour ends at approx 17:00 hrs in the New York Area on day 9. Note: This tour uses budget hostels chosen for their proximity to city centres. Rooms will be dormitory-style multi-share with separate quarters for men and women. All hostels provide a blanket and pillow so a sleeping bag is not required on this tour.
