Itinerary
Days 1-2: USA or Canada/Johannesburg, South Africa
The Westcliff Hotel Depart by overnight flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, a representative transfers you to your hotel. Later, attend a welcome dinner where a professional photographer offers advice for the days ahead.
Days 3-4: Johannesburg/Maun, Botswana/Okavango Delta
Stanley's Camp Spend two full days at StanleyÂ’s Camp, a small property tucked beneath a canopy of ebony and sausage trees on the southern tip of Chief Â’s Island. Activities ranging from seasonal mokoro (dugout canoe) rides, night game drives and bush walks provide countless wildlife viewing options. During your stay, you may interact with a group of semi-habituated African elephant and have a shaded picnic overlooking a lagoon, with the elephant nearby.
Day 5: Okavango Delta
Chief ’s Camp Fly to Chief ’s Camp, which is set deep in the Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. Known as the “predator capital” of Botswana, it offers some of the finest game viewing in the region. Settle in at your luxurious bush pavilion before embarking on an exciting afternoon game drive or relaxing at the main lounge.
Day 6: Okavango Delta
Chief ’s Camp Game drives are an opportunity to spot leopard, cheetah, wild dog, spotted hyena and a large resident pride of lion. Your specially designed safari vehicle is customized to offer exceptional views. This area is renowned for its large concentration of elephant, buffalo, red lechwe, giraffe, impala and of course, predators. Add to that the 400 species of bird life and you have the best gaming experience that Botswana can offer. Day 7: Okavango Delta/Chobe National Park
Chobe Chilwero After breakfast, fly northeast to Chobe National Park, covering diverse landscapes ranging from teak forests to floodplains and marshlands. Your exquisite lodge sits above the Chobe River, offering unparalleled panoramic views across the islands and flood plains as far as Namibia. Day 8: Chobe National Park
Chobe Chilwero Begin your day shortly after sunrise with a game drive that offers an opportunity to spot animals searching for breakfast. This afternoon, embark on a river cruise by a motorboat customized for a water safari.
Day 9: Chobe/Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe/Livingstone, Zambia
Sussi & Chuma Bid farewell to your lodge. Drive across the Zimbabwe border to visit awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, its roar yielding up to 120 million gallons of water per minute. Imagine yourself in the place of David Livingstone, the first known European to see the awe-inspiring, crashing waters. Day 10: Livingstone
Sussi & Chuma This morning embark on a guided walking tour of one of the great natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls. At times, the water flow can be up to 120 million gallons per minute and the roar of the falling water can be nearly as awe-inspiring as the view. The rainforest that veils the edge of the falls, the rising spray and the thundering roar of the water pounding against the ragged rocks all make for an unforgettable experience.
Day 11: Livingstone/Johannesburg/USA or Canada
Fly to Johannesburg to connect with your international flight. The Premier Lounge is available to relax, compliments of A&K, before your homebound flight.
Day 12: USA or Canada
