Head to the hills to get the full picture of Everest. Fly to Lukla then enjoy a four day trek, staying in teahouses in the village of Phakding, the market town of Namche Bazaar and the small settlement of Monjo. Along the way cross fast flowing rivers, climb to the highest hotel in the world and take in close up views of the mountain and the surrounding Himalayas.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu/Lukla/Phakding

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region. Start trekking along the Dudh Kosi River and spend the night in the village of Phakding.

Day 2 Namche Bazaar

Criss-cross over the river en route to Jorsale, the trek's halfway point. Later in the day finish with a challenging uphill climb to Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the first glimpse of Everest!

Day 3 Monjo

Climb to the highest hotel in the world for unobstructed views of Everest. Then it's back downhill to the settlement of Monjo.

Day 4 Lukla

Enjoy a leisurely walk back to Lukla.

Day 5 Kathmandu

Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu.
