Itinerary

Day1 Lima

Arrive early to discover the wealth of culture in Peru's historic capital. Gain an insight into colonial history at the fascinating Museo de la Inquisicion or head to beachside Miraflores to sample some epicurean delights.

Day 2 Paracas National Park/Ballestas Islands

See well-preserved remnants of past civilisations at the Chauchilla Cemetery then soak up the scenery of Paracas National Park.

Day 3 Huacachina/Nazca

Gaze in wonder at the mysterious line formations etched in the ground.

Day 4 Puerto Inca

Camp overnight in this colonial port town.

Days 5-6 Arequipa

Admire white-stone buildings and beautiful churches.

Days 7-8 Chivay/Colca Canyon

Rejuvenate in thermal springs before visiting the Colca Canyon to try and spot and Andean condor, the world's largest flying bird.

Day 9 Raqchi Homestay

Days 16-17 Machu Picchu/Cuzco

Discover this remarkable 'Lost City' on a guided tour, before returning to Cuzco.

Day 18 Sillustani/Puno

Cruise Lake Titicaca and see the 'floating islands' of the Uros people. Marvel at the Sillustani funerary towers and spend the night in the township of Puno.

Days 19-20 Copacabana

Reach Copacabana and take a boat trip to Isla del Sol, regarded as the birthplace of the Inca civilisation

Days 21-24 La Paz

Be enchanted by the dizzying heights of La Paz.

Days 25-26 Potosi

Explore the dark history of this once-wealthy mining town.

Days 27-29 Salar de Uyuni

Marvel at the surreal landscape of Bolivia's largest salt flat

Days 30-31 San Pedro de Atacama

The desert safari ends at San Pedro de Atacama, a small oasis in the middle of an evaporated saline lake. There are options here to do tours to the many sights in the area, such as the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) or the ruins of Pukara de Quitor.

Days 32-34 Salta

Head to Salta and view the colourful mountains of Quebrada de Humahuaca.

Day 35 Cafayate

Learn about wine on a vineyard tour.

Days 36-39 Estancia Stay

Choose to saddle up for a horse ride before sampling a famous Argentine barbecue.

Days 40-41 Cordoba

Admire the city's many beautiful churches.

Days 42-43 Buenos Aires

Get swept up in the passion of Argentina's elegant capital.

Days 44-45 San Ignacio de Mini

The intricately carved ruins of San Ignacio Mini are an impressive sight.

Days 46-48 Iguazu Falls

Days 49-51 Bonito
