Depart early from Adelaide and hit the road, sampling some of South Australia's finest produce en route to Victoria. Stop at Mount Arapiles for lunch and take a walk to embrace stunning views. Arrive at the Grampians National Park - the surrounding rugged mountain ranges make for some of the most magnificent scenery in the country. Soak up the scenery on walks, spot local wildlife, enjoy dinner in front of a campfire and sleep soundly under the stars.

Day 2 The Grampians

Rise with the sun and cycle to Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Learn about the local people and be taught how to throw a boomerang. Spend more time exploring by bicycle before enjoying a free afternoon. Perhaps take a chance to visit Pinnacle Lookout or enjoy one of the many hiking trails in the national park, each equally rewarding. A guided night walk should reveal plenty of nocturnal critters, while a stargazing session showcases a galaxy of stars.

Day 3 Apollo Bay

Journey via picturesque villages and a 30,000-year-old volcano to the magical coastal town of Port Fairy. Rising from the ocean, a stop to visit the ancient limestone stakes of the Twelve Apostles is sure to impress, as is hiking a section of the Great Ocean Walk. Next, travel to Apollo Bay, the perfect seaside escape. Take a dip in the sea or play a spot of beach cricket then cap off a memorable day with a tasty barbecue dinner.

Day 4 Great Ocean Road/Melbourne

Enjoy a final dip in Apollo Bay before venturing out on another walk along the Great Ocean Walk. Travel to iconic Bells Beach to watch surfers be at one with the ocean. Enjoy a snack or a walk on the beach before journeying to the cafes and culture of Melbourne.
