Vic Falls to Kruger

Map Image

This short but exciting journey combines two of southern Africa's most famous sites: Kruger National Park and the breathtaking Victoria Falls. Look out for the Big Five plus a host of other astounding wild animals. Spend time in a traditional village and uncover Africa's incredible and diverse natural beauty on an awesome week's adventure through the south.

Days 1-2 Victoria Falls

Kick-off this unforgettable adventure in Zimbabwe's adrenaline capital. Admire the incredible torrent of white water at Victoria Falls, where spray shoots hundreds of metres into the air. Explore the falls more closely or perhaps try some of the adventure activities on offer such as bungee jumping, abseiling, rafting and canyoning.

Day 3 Chobe National Park

Famous for its elephant herds, Botswana's Chobe National Park also shelters lions, hippos and African fish eagles. Enjoy a relaxing water safari down the Chobe River in the golden light of the afternoon - this is one of the best ways to see these creatures at close quarters.

Day 4 Palapye

Choose to rise early and head out on an exciting open-vehicle game drive. Afterwards, journey to Palapye and use free time to explore the town centre before sampling traditional cuisine at a local cafe or restaurant.

Days 5-6 Kruger National Park

Embark on a journey through the expansive savanna and rolling hills of spectacular Kruger National Park. Keep an eye out for white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions and elands. Choose to go on an optional night game drive to see nocturnal predators spring into action.

Days 7-8 Greater Kruger/Johannesburg

Embark on a final game drive to try and spot more species, then continue onto the Southern African Wildlife College to learn about the important role that guides play in the protection of animals and the environment. Camp overnight, then hit the road and return to the modernity of Johannesburg via the scenic Blyde River Canyon.
