Day 1 Cape Town
With vineyards close by, endless adventure activities and plenty of restaurants and cafes, there is something for everyone in this vibrant city.
Day 2 Lambert's Bay
Travel to the charms of quaint Lambert's Bay and visit Cape Gannet Island to view the spectacular flocks of gannet. In the evening, feast on fresh seafood for dinner.
Day 3 Orange River
Cross the border into Namibia and spend the night sleeping in a comfortable lodge on the banks of the Orange River.
Day 4 Fish River Canyon
Glide across the waters of the Orange River in a canoe, then drive to Fish River Canyon to witness the rock changing colour with the sunset.
Day 5 Sossusvlei
Travel to the vast and imposing sands of the Namib Desert. Sip a sundowner and soak up the amazing views of the Namib landscape.
Days 6-7 Swakopmund
Spend a morning climbing some of the world's highest dunes and exploring the parched terrain of the Sossusvlei. In Swakopmund, use free time to relax on the beach, admire German-inspired architecture or browse the many boutiques.
Day 8 Windhoek
Recharge in Namibia's colonial-style capital.
Days 9-10 Damaraland
Journey into the heart of Damaraland, a region of contrasts with a wide variety of flora and fauna. Search for elusive desert elephants, then head to the Skeleton Coast to view seal colonies, shipwrecks and shores covered in bleached bones - a remnant from the once-active whaling industry.
Days 11-12 Etosha National Park
Travel to Etosha National Park and arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. Home to rhinos, zebras, impala and antelope, this park makes it easy to spot wildlife. At night, retire to the comforts of a lodge outside the park where a pool provides the perfect way to refresh at the end the day.
Day 13 Rundu
Choose to explore the colourful local markets, then spend the night relaxing at a riverside lodge in Rundu.
Days 14-15 Okavango Delta
Welcome to beautiful Botswana! Accompanied by local guides, discover the watery wilderness of the Okavango Delta by foot and in a mokoro, a traditional-style dugout canoe. A seasonal habitat for many birds and animals including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, big cats and eagles - this is a perfect introduction to the African bush. Appreciate the tranquillity of the delta at night on a houseboat set amid a carpet of water lilies.
Days 16-18 Caprivi Strip
Marvel at ancient rock paintings on a guided walk, then cross back into Namibia and journey to the Caprivi Strip. Soak up the serenity on a river drive through the Mahango Game Reserve to spot antelopes, lions and buffalos. The following morning, visit a village to mingle with friendly locals and learn a little about their customs and culture.
Day 19 Chobe National Park
Prepare for the ultimate game-viewing experience in the Chobe National Park. With the largest elephant population on the continent, as well as thick forests and marshes that are home to nearly all of Africa's major species, this is safari heaven. Look out for crocs on a relaxing sunset river cruise.
Days 20-23 Victoria Falls
Cross the border into Zimbabwe and marvel at the magnificence of mighty Victoria Falls.
Day 24 Hwange National Park
Visit the Painted Dog Conservation Group to learn about the plight of the endangered African wild dog, before travelling to Hwange National Park. Explore the park in a 4x4 to seek out the majestic elephants that call this park home. At night, sleep in comfort in a lodge on the boundaries of the park.
Days 25-26 Bulawayo
Explore the markets of Bulawayo, then spend the following day discovering the animals that live within Matobo National Park. Take a guided game walk to try and spot rare black and white rhinos and stay in a local lodge.
Day 27 Masvingo
Explore a ruined city thought to have once been a royal palace for the Zimbabwean monarch.
Day 28 Tzaneen
Return to South Africa and spend the afternoon exploring this mystical area. Learn about the beliefs of the Lobedu tribe and walk through the Modjaji Cycad Reserve to admire cycads that are hundreds of years old.
Day 29 Johannesburg
Travel to the busy metropolis of Johannesburg where this amazing adventure ends.
