Day 1 Bangkok
Race around this bustling capital in the back of a tuk-tuk or take in the bright colours and heady smells of the Suan Lum Night Bazaar.
Days 2-4 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat
Discover the history of the Khmer Empire while exploring Angkor's temples. Be astounded by the Bayon and the crumbling, jungle-covered ruins of Ta Prohm. Angkor Wat is a must, and its silhouette at sunset is spectacular.
Days 5-6 Phnom Penh
Cambodia's capital is the perfect place to delve into the country's history and culture. Confront the grim exhibits at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and visiting the sobering Killing Fields. Later, enjoy a coffee at a modern cafe along Sisowath Quay.
Day 7 Chau Doc
Watch riverside life pass by while crossing into Vietnam by boat.
Days 8-10 Ho Chi Minh City
Clamber into the Cu Chi Tunnels to learn what life was like for Viet Minh soldiers. Take to Ho Chi Minh City's streets in a slow-going cyclo - the best way to soak up the sights.
Days 11-12 Hoi An
Be seduced by the old-world charm of Hoi An. There's sumptuous cuisine to sample and shops selling everything from tailored suits to handmade lanterns.
Days 13-14 Hue
Ascend the aptly named Sea Cloud Pass en route to Hue, the Vietnamese centre of learning, religion and Nguyen imperialism. Visit the impressive Imperial Citadel and board a dragon boat to cruise the waters of the Perfume River.
Day 15 Hanoi
Feast on a scrumptious breakfast at the inspirational KOTO restaurant, dedicated to educating Vietnam's disadvantaged youth, before exploring the capital's leafy streets.
Day 16 Halong Bay
Glide past stunning limestone scenery, stopping to explore caves filled with spectacular stone formations and stay overnight on a junk.
Days 17-18 Hanoi
Grab a French pastry then try to spot a lucky tortoise in the Old Quarter's Hoan Kiem Lake, the serene heart of Hanoi.
