Itinerary
Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City
The adventure begins in Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh City. For those arriving early, a visit to the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral is recommended.
Day 2 Phnom Penh
Head to the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. Find graphic reminders of the country's tragic history in the bone-chilling Tuol Sleng Museum or take a stroll past the shimmering Silver Pagoda.
Day 3 Homestay
Travel into Cambodia's countryside for a village homestay. Staying with a friendly local family, this is a unique opportunity to experience everyday rural life and to enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal
Days 4-6 Sihanoukville
Find a spot on Cambodia's secluded beaches that fringe Sihanoukville or take a boat trip out to nearby idyllic islands.
Day 7 Phnom Penh
Make a return trip to Phnom Penh and take this opportunity to see more sights of this beguiling city. Perhaps wander through the bustling market stalls of Psar Thmei or simply relax with a traditional massage.
Day 8 Kompong Cham
Enjoy the fusion of the frontier charm and French-colonial character of Kompong Cham. Stroll through the streets to admire the faded European architecture or hire a bike to explore Cambodia's rustic surrounds.
Days 9-11 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat
Don't miss Cambodia's extraordinary temples of Angkor - they're just a short remork ride away, including the ancient temple made famous in the Holloywood blockbuster, Tomb Raider. Perhaps also consider a trip to the floating villages of Tonle Sap or peruse Siem Reap's markets.
Days 12-13 Bangkok
Cross the border into Thailand and arrive in Bangkok to be welcomed by exotic markets, weaving tuk-tuks, slow-going longtail boats and serene temples. Enjoy some aromatic Thai cuisine to help celebrate the end of the adventure.
