Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Beijing

A mix of high-rise buildings and ancient sites, Beijing is one of the world's most fascinating cities. Be transferred from the airport to the hotel and prepare for the adventure ahead. Perhaps spend free time exploring the backstreet hutongs packed with tiny shops and eateries.

Day 2 Beijing

With a local guide, set off for the Temple of Heaven Park to watch join locals in tai chi, diablo, fan dancing and other traditional pastimes and games. Work up an appetite for a dumpling or noodle lunch, then jump aboard the subway to Tiananmen Square. Stride across the square, then discover the secrets of the impressive Forbidden City. Why not end the day with a Peking duck dinner or, for something a little more daring, sample spiders and scorpions at the Night Market?

Day 3 Free day Beijing

Enjoy free time to explore Beijing's many other incredible sights. Take a trip to Olympic Park or visit the famous Great Wall, an incredible feat of ancient engineering.
