This tour takes in the best of Northern India and Nepal. We travel from Delhi to Kathmandu stopping at the epicentres of spirituality, jungles and national parks along the way. Witness ceremonies at the Golden Temple of Amritsar and mix with pilgrims in Dharamsala. You will learn the significance of traditional customs of Himalayas before heading on a safari to spot tigers and other exotic creatures of the Corbett and Royal Bardia National Park. After relaxing and soaking up the views from Pokhara our journey finally brings us to Kathmandu. This trip offers a memorable blend of adventure and discovery with time for reflection and contemplation รขโ the perfect way to see this corner of Asia.
Itinerary
Day 1 Delhi
Arrive in the Indian capital and perhaps get oriented with a city tour to some of Delhi's major sights and attractions, including the President's Palace, India Gate and the Rajpath. Or simply dive in to the hustle and bustle of daily life on a jaunt through Old Delhi.
Days 2-3 Amristar
Get on the road and travel to Amritsar, home to the famous Golden Temple. Explore this grand complex, discovering its significance to the Sikh religion before making camp in the grounds of a local guesthouse.
Days 4-5 Dharamasala
Make tracks into the mighty Himalayas and visit the home of the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala.
Days 6-7 Shimla
Venture high into the heart of the mountains to Shimla. Explore this delightful hill-hugging city, which was declared the summer capital of the British Raj in India in 1864. In free time, take the opportunity to visit the majestic Viceregal Lodge.
Days 9-10 Corbett National Park
Keep eyes peeled for tigers while on a jeep safari in Corbett National Park. Soak up the tranquil park surrounds, listen to the nearby chatter of native birds, or head off on an optional walking tour or elephant trek.
Days 11-12 Royal Bardia National Park
Farewell the mountains of India and cross into Nepal. Enjoy more exciting game drives in Royal Bardia before chilling out at the park lodge.
Days 14-15 Pokhara
Arrive in pristine Pokhara to revel in crisp mountain air and soak up immensely beautiful scenery. While here, perhaps indulge in some of the many outdoor activities on offer including whitewater rafting and trekking.
Days 16-17 Kathmandu
Travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu, the eclectic, chaotic capital of Nepal. Experience the full gamut of flavours, sights and sounds in this bustling city and celebrate the tour's end with a group dinner.
Day 8 Bush Camp
Enjoy the verdant north Indian scenery on the journey towards Corbett National Park, stopping to camp en route.
Day 13 Butwal
Set out across the Nepalese countryside, passing through remote villages and an ever-changing terrain.
