Itinerary
Day 1 Amman
Arrive in the modernity of Amman, the starting point of this exciting journey through Jordan. Early arrivers should head to the Roman Theatre or the Citadel for superb views of this sophisticated city from above..
Day 2 Wadi Rum
Head out on an exciting safari to camp under the stars with welcoming Bedouin hosts. Along the way, take in the stark desert scenery, full of unique rock formations featuring inscriptions carved by people in prehistoric times.
Days 3-4 Petra
Behold the ancient beauty and enigmatic wonder of rose-coloured Petra. Walk through this fascinating stone city learning about the history of this city carved out of a rock face. Discover temples, tombs, an amphitheatre and a monastery.
Day 5 Dana Nature Reserve
Trek through stunning scenery, keeping a watch for ibex, mountain gazelles, wolves and lizards along the way.
Day 6 Madaba
Visit an ancient crusader castle, then take a dip in the salty waters of the iconic Dead Sea - the mineral-rich waters are thought to have therapeutic properties. Stop by legendary Mt Nebo, one of the most revered holy sites in Jordan, then soak up the village-feel of Madaba, a town rich in cultural treasures and easily explored on foot.
Days 7-8 Amman
Walk through the well -preserved Roman ruins of Jerash and try to imagine the life that flourished here thousands of years ago. Return to urbane Amman and use free time to relax in cosmopolitan cafes, socialise in wine bars, admire modern art in galleries or shop for clothes in boutiques.
