Itinerary
Day 1 Antananarivo
With its cobbled streets, wooden houses and churches, this European-inspired city has a distinctly romantic air.
Day 2 Antsirabe
Take in breathtaking mountain scenery on the way to Antsirabes famed thermal springs, gemstone merchants and elegant French architecture. Head out on a rickshaw to explore the quaint streets of this town.
Day 3 Ambositra
Visit villages and watch artisans at work in Ambositra.
Days 4-5 Ranomafana National Park/Fianarantsoa
Spot lemurs on a guided walk through a national park, then head to the heritage-rich town of Fianarantsoa.
Days 6-7 Ranohira/Isalo National Park
Learn local customs from rice farmers in Ranohira before embarking on a journey into the contrasting scenery of the Isalo National Park.
Day 8 Tulear
Gain insight into traditional mining techniques on a visit to a sapphire mine. Head to the coastal beauty of Tulear and visit a museum full of botanical treasures.
Days 9-11 Andasibe National Park
Stay at a lodge nestled on the outskirts of the Andasibe National Park. Enjoy guided forest walks, learn about local agriculture and witness forest regeneration in progress.
Day 12 Foulpointe
Interact with locals on a visit to a community centre before travelling to the historical town of Foulpointe.
Days 13-15 Sainte-Marie
Travel by boat to this beautiful island filled with fragrant flowers and lush greenery. Scuba divers will enjoy diving here, as the underwater sites are some of the best in the Indian Ocean. On the final night, indulge in a group dinner and reflect on the magnificence of Madagascar.
