Itinerary

Day 1 Singapore

Sip a Singapore Sling in the Raffles Hotel where the famous drink was invented, or seek out a bargain on Orchard Road.

Day 2 Melaka

Get to know this historic port city and admire Chinatown's unique Peranakan architecture from the back of a trishaw.

Days 3-4 Kuala Lumpur

Absorb the multicultural mix that is Kuala Lumpur on a half-day city tour. In free time stroll Dataran Merdeka, shop in Suria KLCC or scale the 272 steps up to the Batu Caves. Be sure to indulge in the myriad tasty food options this city is famous for.

Days 5-6 Homestay

Sample succulent tropical fruits such as rambutan or the pungent durian before seeing how traditional Malays live at a homestay. Sitting cross-legged on the floor for meals, using fingers instead of knives and forks and dressing in sarongs all makes for a great cultural experience.

Days 7-8 Penang

Take a rickshaw tour through the streets of Georgetown, visit the Butterfly Farm or tuck into tasty local cuisine.

Day 9 Nakhon Si Thammarat

Famous for its shadow puppets, Thailand's Nakhon Si Thammarat also has a great night market. Be sure to bring an appetite as the Thai hawker food here is a must.

Days 10-13 Ko Samui

Don a snorkel to discover the underwater treasures of Ang Thong Marine National Park - an archipelago of untouched islands surrounded by pristine coral reefs pulsing with life. Wake early to watch the sunrise or to enjoy a final swim before boarding the train to Bangkok.

Days 14-15 Bangkok

Glide through Bangkok's canals on a longtail boat and gaze at the huge reclining Buddha at Wat Pho on a guided tour.
