Itinerary

Day 1 Victoria Falls

Arrive in Zimbabwe early and use free time to try the adventure activities on offer in the area such as abseiling or canoeing. In the afternoon, the incredible power of nature will astound on a visit to Victoria Falls.

Day 2 Bulawayo

Travel to Bulawayo and spend time mingling with locals in the busy markets.

Day 3 Masvingo

Head to the oldest colonial settlement in Zimbabwe, Masvingo, home to an important archaeological site. Set off to explore these ancient ruins, thought to have once been a royal palace.

Day 4 Lake Chicamba

Zebra and eland are often seen meandering by the shimmering Lake Chicamba. Fishing is popular here - but be sure to hire a boat as crocodiles lurk beneath the surface!

Days 5-7 Vilankulo

Vilankulo, Mozambique's pleasure playground, offers gorgeous coral reefs, sandy beaches and lush islands. Spend a day sailing the archipelago in a dhow - a traditional Arab sailboat. Back in town, browse the local markets and be immersed in the culture of Mozambique.

Days 8-9 Morrungulo

Trade one beautiful beach for another by travelling further south, this time to the pristine shores of Morrungulo. Camp among coconut groves and enjoy free time snorkelling, diving or simply lazing about on the warm sand.

Day 10 Praia de Tofo

Discover Praia de Tofo, a colonial port town once popular with Portuguese and Arab traders. Make camp on a pristine beach, with friendly locals and fresh seafood at hand.

Day 11 Maputo

Maputo is a glamorous city with a distinctly European feel. Visit its excellent restaurants before hitting the music clubs to listen to an infusion of jazz, house and reggae.

Days 12-13 Kruger National Park

Travel to the South African border and push onwards into the mighty Kruger National Park. Embark on afternoon game drives to spot Africa's iconic Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

Day 14 Johannesburg

Take in awesome views of the Blyde River Canyon on the journey towards the busy streets of Johannesburg. Toast the end of an eye-opening Mozambique getaway tour with a cold bottle of Amstel lager.
