Day 1 Johannesburg
Begin this amazing adventure in the sprawling city of Johannesburg.
Days 2-3 Kruger National Park
Travel the famous Panorama Route and take in rugged views from the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon. In the Kruger National Park, enjoy spotting the iconic Big Five on a game drive through golden grasses. When dusk settles, choose to see what happens on the savanna after dark on an optional night safari.
Day 4 Swaziland
Cross the border into the Kingdom of Swaziland and stop by a village to learn about Swazi culture, customs and beliefs. In the afternoon, track rare rhinos in the Hlane Royal National Park.
Days 5-6 Mozambique Beach Camp
Head to the coast and hit the beach for some sun. Go scuba diving or snorkelling to discover colourful underwater worlds, head out on a boat cruise to spot dolphins or stay onshore and explore vibrant markets. Relax on the beach, soak up the warm waters of the Indian Ocean or wash down a meal of fresh seafood with a chilled beer.
Day 7 St Lucia Estuary
Home to thousands of birds, mammals and reptiles, this diverse ecosystem provides plenty of opportunity for bird watching and animal spotting.
Day 8 Zululand
Journey to the heartland of the Zulu nation and be treated to traditional food and rousing song and dance on a homestay.
Day 9 Durban
The trip ends beachside in decadent Durban. Stay a little longer to enjoy this city's glamorous social scene, shopping malls and golden beaches or explore the juxtaposition of Muslim and Hindu architecture in the colourful Indian quarter.
