Itinerary
Days 1-2 Johannesburg/Greater Kruger National Park
Leave behind the sprawling city of Johannesburg on a journey along the famous Panorama Route. Head towards the national park, stopping at Blyde River Canyon for breathtaking views along the way.
Days 3-4 Kruger National Park
Keep eyes peeled for birdlife and the iconic Big Five in Kruger National Park: lions, African elephants, buffaloes, leopards and black rhinos. An open-vehicle night drive offers a chance to see nocturnal creatures spring into action.
Day 5 Swaziland/Hlane Royal National Park
Enter the friendly kingdom of Swaziland and be swept away in rhythmic song and dance at a cultural village. Continue on to Hlane Royal National Park to track white rhinos on a guided game walk.
Days 6-7 Southern Mozambique
Cross the border into Mozambique - home to stunning white-sand beaches, fiery cuisine and sleepy seaside villages. There's plenty of time here so dive beneath the glistening waters to explore the pristine coral reefs or perhaps just relax and enjoy the lush surrounds with a coconut juice in hand.
Day 8 Zululand/St Lucia Estuary
Explore the scenic banks of Lake St Lucia, home to a huge diversity of animals. An optional boat cruise reveals hippos and crocodiles lurking beneath the waters.
Day 9 Durban
Learn about the daily life of the rural Zulu people, then dive into the the beaches and vibrant nightlife of Durban.
Days 10-11 Drakensberg
Breathe in the crisp mountain air on hikes through lush terrain teeming with native flora and fauna.
Days 12-13 Lesotho Highlands
Journey through the Golden Gate Highlands National Park and cross the border into the Lesotho highlands. Enjoy a relaxed village walk or a spot of market shopping.
Days 14-15 Wild Coast/Mazeppa Bay
Get to know the customs of the local Xhosa people. Relax on the beach or try hiking, canoeing or fishing along the coast of South Africa.
Day 16 Addo Elephant National Park
A success story in conservation, this impressive national park houses huge numbers of elephants, as well as rare rhinos, buffaloes and antelope. Try to spot them on an afternoon game drive.
Days 17-18 Garden Route/Tsitsikamma National Park
Choose to hike, snorkel, cruise or bungee through this amazing forested coastal area, which monkeys, baboons, otters and birds all call home.
Day 19 Oudtshoorn
Get up close to native ostriches, then see impressive stalactites and stalagmites adorning the Cango Caves.
Day 20 Stellenbosch Wine Region
Visit a vineyard to learn the secrets of making South Africa's legendary whites and reds. Sample some of this beautiful region's local produce in the afternoon.
Day 21 Cape Town
Bursting with natural beauty, world-class vineyards and a thriving restaurant and bar scene, Cape Town is a favourite with adventure sports enthusiasts, wine-lovers and foodies alike.
