Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Cuzco
Meet at the San Pedro Church to begin a day enjoying the colour and charisma of Cuzco. Interact with locals at the frenetic Mercado Central (Central Market) before journeying to Sacsayhuaman, thought to be a ruined fortress. Explore other fascinating ruins in the area and then feast on a picnic lunch high above Cuzco. Return to the city centre where a guide will offer tips and anecdotes about the buildings and area.
Day 2 Depart Cuzco
After breakfast head to Pisac, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley. If the craft market is open, barter for a bright bargain. Visit a local community and spend the day doing traditional activities with the locals. Farewell new friends and head to nearby Ollantaytambo, an archaeological site that offers glimpses of the past. Travel through incredible landscapes on the return trip to Cuzco.
