Itinerary
Day 1 Bangkok
Meander through the bustling markets, stopping to sample the street snacks available on every corner or shop up a storm in one of the many markets.
Days 2-3 Sangkhlaburi
Have lunch with villagers, visit the historical Three Pagodas Pass and ride an elephant through the lush hillside.
Day 4 Thong Pha Phum
Learn some lingo from the village kids and perhaps visit the produce market or a nearby temple.
Day 5 Kanchanaburi/River Kwai
Visit the Hellfire Pass Museum and take the Thai-Burma railway over the infamous Death Railway Bridge.
Day 6 Thai House
In the morning, opt to visit Erawan Falls, take a cooking course or kayak down the river. Stay with a local family in a traditional teak house on the outskirts of Bangkok.
Days 7-8 Bangkok
Learn the secrets of Thai cuisine at a local market then return to Bangkok by longtail boat.
For trips May-Oct (East Coast)... Days 9-10 Ko Pha-Ngan
Savour the serenity of cave temples, relax on the beach and explore cascading waterfalls.
Days 11-12 Ko Tao
Spectacular coral gardens lie just beyond the white-sand beaches - so pull on a snorkel and dive in.
Days 13-15 Ko Samui
Bask on a pristine beach, visit the sparkling Emerald Lake and experience the island's great nightlife.
For trips Nov-Apr (West Coast)... Days 9-10 Ao Nang/Krabi
Kick back on beautiful beaches, snorkel and sip cocktails at sunset.
Days 11-12 Ko Yao Noi
Wander through fishing villages and rubber plantations before taking a trip around the spectacular limestone cliffs of Phang-Nga Bay.
Days 13-15 Phuket
Shop, eat, swim or relax on Thailand's largest island.
