Itinerary
Day 1 Entebbe
Kick off this exciting wildlife adventure in Entebbe. Journey by boat to the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and see cheeky chimps being fed.
Days 2-3 Kibale Forest National Park
Embark on a walking safari around this lush national park, home to more than 500 chimpanzees. Watch agile chimps climb trees, swing from branches and care for their young. This is a special animal encounter to remember!
Days 4-6 Queen Elizabeth National Park
The rolling grasslands, crater lakes, tropical forests and swamps of this national park shelter many species of birds and other wildlife. Head out on an exciting game drive and boat cruise and try to spot elephants, warthogs and hippos. The next day, travel to the Ishasha River - keep watch for the unusual tree-climbing lions that live here. There's also time to visit a local village where there's the opportunity to mingle with locals.
Days 7-8 Gorilla Trek
Set off with a guide on a thrilling trek deep into the steamy jungle of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The terrain may be difficult to negotiate, but the rewards are definitely worth it. The first instance of seeing gorillas in their natural habitat is breathtaking. Watch them play, interact and groom themselves - the similarities between this species and humans is remarkable.
Day 9 Lake Mburo
Keep eyes peeled for zebra, impala, antelope and buffalo on an afternoon game drive. Afterwards, a relaxing boat trip offers a closer look at the resident hippos.
Day 10 Jinja
Pass through Kampala on the way to Jinja. Spend the night in a comfortable lodge and spend time reflecting on the wildlife encounters of the past few days.
Day 11 Entebbe
Make the most of the morning and choose to go quad biking or rafting in Jinja before returning to Entebbe where this amazing adventure ends.
