This is a trip that lets you dine your way from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, indulging all your senses in delicious tastes and tantalising aromas, while travelling in comfort and style.
Itinerary
Days 1-2 Hanoi
Stroll around pagoda-studded lakes before savouring delicious northern delicacies at a cooking class at KOTO, a training restaurant for disadvantaged youth. Sizzle, slice and dice while learning about the intricacies of local cuisine. Embark on a cyclo tour of the atmospheric Old Quarter and take in a performance starring Hanoi's famous water-puppets. Stock up on tasty Vietnamese snacks for an overnight train journey south.
Days 3-4 Hue
Get caught up in the energy of the Dong Ba Market. Visit the captivating ruins of the Imperial Citadel as well as the remarkable royal tombs and enjoy a dragonboat cruise along the Perfume River.
Days 5-6 Hoi An
Discover the wealth of produce available at the market before enjoying another chance to chop, boil and broil in a cooking class. Later, there's time to explore the ancient streets of this charming heritage town.
Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City
Admire the wonderful weaving skills of cyclos while getting acquainted with Hi Chi Minh City's main sights on a tour through its frenetic streets. Delve into history at the fascinating War Remnants Museum. Later, tempt tastebuds with some spicy southern fare from a street food stall.
Day 8 Mekong Delta Homestay
Cruise the many channels of the Mekong Delta, sample freshly-picked tropical fruit and feast on local food at a rural homestay.
Days 9-10 Ho Chi Minh City
Rise to the sounds of the Delta and head to the famous floating markets. Head back to the city for a final gastronomic fling at one of Ho Chi Minh's finer restaurants.
