Take this opportunity to learn more about Buddhism during time here, then head out to the countryside to see temples, tombs and pagodas. End the day with a cruise down the Perfume River.
Day 2 Hue/Tam Giang Lagoon
Leave Hue behind and head out to explore the delightful village of Quang Dien. Discover this village by pedal power - stop by an ancient house, visit a school and perhaps even lend a hand on a farm. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal with a local family; dining on fresh seafood purchased from the fishing market. In the afternoon join a local guide for a sampan cruise over the serene waters of the Tam Giang Lagoon. Meet fisherman on a visit to fish and prawn farms, and learn how they fish the lagoon through the art of net throwing. On the way back to Hue cool off with a dip at a nearby beach.
Day 3 Hoi An Walking Tour/Cooking Class
Stop off at the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co for a morning coffee, then ascend the dramatic Hai Van Pass en route to Hoi An. Spend the afternoon walking around this ancient town with a local guide. Once a thriving river port, the town's architecture has been preserved and restored, and wandering the streets and narrow alleyways gives an insight into times past. Head to the market to discover the many culinary delights on sale here, and later use some of these ingredients during a cooking class.

On the return to town be sure to take a moment to watch the lights flickering on, illuminating the magical Old Town of Hoi An.
